Team Formation and Matchmaking, Questions and Answers Session
Zoom: https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/t_qEoOKbSsuH8Zbu3r553w
Location: University of Latvia, LU Dabas Māja, Jelgavas iela 1, Rīga, 701.telpa, 7.stāvs.
Hack The Lab — a short, hands-on morning lab (max ~2 hours) where universities and partners run practical sessions: a 30-minute overview of institutional opportunities followed by a ~1-hour expert Q&A/workshop and demos. It gives students and teams direct access to research, tools, datasets and domain experts to jump-start prototypes and technical validation.
You’re welcome to visit the Sports Science Laboratory at the University of Latvia, where our lead researcher Zane Šmite can give an insightful tour. Zane can talk about how sensors and other technologies can be developed so that athletes, coaches, and clients can truly use them in practice.
There are many products on the market that measure performance or movement, but very few provide meaningful guidance on what to actually do with that data afterward — this is exactly what our sports scientists are working on.
Zane can also share examples from the VPP Sports research project on grassroots sports and the MikroTik project focused on monitoring young athletes.
We’d be glad to arrange a visit and discuss possible collaboration directions.
